My Way!

I was listening to the local radio presenter on my car radio this morning.  He was telling listeners that he started on his career as a DJ on Hospital Radio. He was asked by a patient’s family to play a song for their female relative who was very poorly and 91 years old and a mention on Hospital Radio would cheer her up.

He thought “What would a 91 year old like?  I know, I can’t go wrong with a bit of good old Frank Sinatra”.  He announced “Here is a song for Mrs Peters in Abbot Ward she is 91 and has been very poorly; this is from your family and all of our listeners who wish you a quick recovery. Here is my favourite Frank Sinatra song”.

He hit the button and Frank began warbling . . . . . . . . . . .

“And now the end is here and so I face the final curtain . . . .

. . . . I don’t know how Mrs Peters or her family took it but I nearly crashed my car laughing out loud.
