The new French President, Francois Hollande has ordered a new flag for his military to replace the tricolour. It is a charming and quite memorable design consisting of three white fleurs-de-lis on a white background.
His government further announced that it has raised its terror alert status from “RUN” to “HIDE”. The only two higher levels in France are “COLLABORATE” and “SURRENDER”. The rise in the alert level status was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France’s white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country’s military capability.
